Glenn McGrath hits Walbundrie for Pink Stumps Day!
Glenn McGrath had never heard of Walbundrie before January this year! But the former Australian quick was treated like a king when he visited the tiny rural town for the first time.
Walbundrie secured McGrath’s visit for the day after club treasurer Sue Collins won a competition asking why the former fast bowler should be part of Walbundrie’s Pink Stumps Day. Wmedia were engaged to capture the event for the McGrath Foundation and had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with Glenn McGrath, Gabi Pulla and the wonderful community at Walbundrie and surrounds.
The Pink Stumps Day plays a vital fundraising role to help achieve the foundation’s mission of ensuring every family affected by breast cancer has access to a free McGrath breast care nurse.
This is a cause that is very dear to us, and it makes us incredibly proud to support the McGrath Foundation.
